Consulting

Effective learning starts with understanding the problem to be solved. Through consulting and discovery, I help organizations clarify learning needs, performance gaps, and business priorities before investing time and resources in development.

This early work functions as the blueprint, creating a shared understanding of the problem, the constraints, and the outcomes before anything is built.

What This Work Focuses On

Consulting work often begins by taking a closer look at what’s already in place.

  • Reviewing existing learning, content, or programs
  • Exploring what’s working, what isn’t, and why
  • Understanding the context in which learning is being used
  • Clarifying who the learning is for and what needs to change

How I Approach It

I spend time listening, asking questions, and examining existing materials or data to understand the full picture. Sometimes the issue is the learning itself. Other times, it’s how, when, or where that learning is being used. The goal is to avoid assumptions and create a clear, shared understanding before moving forward.

Consulting work can stand alone or serve as the foundation for future design, development, or program work.
